The TAC-AU is carefully engineered to be an extremely capable, easy to carry, compact size folding knife. The compact version of the TAC-AU , it has the same size and weight as the larger TAC-AU model but features a Tanto shaped blade, full tang handle, and a stout, dependable build. One critical feature-in addition to being a beautifully crafted folding knife-is that the TAC-AU , when opened, feels like two knives in one. Two very capable, easy to carry, everyday tools are easily distinguished by their shape and size. When closed, the TAC-AU ‘s handle becomes one smooth, serpentine form with the SOG ALS Gript further reducing the weight and creating a greater feel for the coarser texture. When open, the dual sided jimping (ridges) provides additional grip and control while the jimping also provides additional scratch resistance. In addition, the handle also features our patented swivel joint which locks the blade safely open when in use. Lastly, the liners contain SOG’s patented XL SOB liner lock technology which provides greater opening/closing speed and more.
