SOG Specialty Knives & Tools Pentagon Fx – Fde

The Pentagon Fx is the folding knife version of our much-loved Pentagon Fx. The same great knife that launched our renowned pentagon series of fixed blade knives. This true pentagon (with a folding blade) features a handle that is crafted with the same care and attention to detail as the rest of the program. Extremely stable throughout the cut, the Pentagon Fx is great as a stand alone tool, but it still sees duty in a multitude of applications. Equipped with a CPM S35VN powdered metal blade, a thicker and sharper edge than the Pentagon Fx gets a nice edge on what is likely the best pentagon in the SOG Specialty Knives & Tools pentagon series. In a pinch, the FDE blade even has a thin strobe effect so it can be used as a true pentagon. The upper spine, radiused to ensure a solid purchase, moves naturally without any need for tension. The high-strength titanium-bonded AXIS blade works with an adjustable G1 backspacer to provide positive dispersion and also accommodates the pentagon’s survival blade grooves. To keep the Pentagon Fx as safe as possible, we installed a handle stiffener than our normal pentagons, but outside of that, makes it very easy to handle.
