These choke tubes extend a little further than the standard flush mount choke tubes, so they can be used with slugs, a longer shot, or lead shot. Our chokes have a knurled end to act as a swage in for good looks, but they are simply for throwing as well as throwing lead. We have also had great success using this choke on lead shot so I highly recommend experimenting with different shot loads and brands of lead shot to see which one works best for you.
