The M330 features full Class D Digital Selective Calling with a dedicated Channel 70 receiver that continuously monitors for distress and other DSC calls even while you’re communicating on another channel. The dedicated DSC receiver meets ITU-R M.493-14 standards for reliability. Program your MMSI number once and gain instant access to one-button distress calling, individual calling to other DSC-equipped vessels, group calling, all ships calling, urgency and safety announcements, position request and report functions, polling request, and DSC test calls. When connected to an external GPS via the NMEA input, your position is automatically transmitted with distress calls, dramatically improving rescue response times. The DSC log stores received calls for later review. A large red DISTRESS button on the front panel provides immediate emergency access.

An external speaker jack allows connection of the SP-37 or other 4-8Ω marine speakers for improved audio in noisy environments or when the radio is mounted in a location where the built-in speaker is difficult to hear.
