The Hilleberg Akto is a one-person tunnel tent made for lightweight backpacking. It gives solo campers a sturdy shelter without taking up too much room in a pack.
Built with a triple-silicone coated 30D ripstop nylon outer, the Akto strikes a balance between strength and low weight. Its tunnel profile makes the most of the 220 x 165 x 90 cm floor plan, offering enough headroom and gear space while staying compact. Inside, a 30D ripstop nylon inner tent helps reduce condensation by allowing air to circulate. The thicker 70D nylon groundsheet adds extra resistance against rough or damp ground. At a packed weight of 1.7 kg (1.3 kg trail weight), it comes with a carry bag, guylines and ten pegs so you’ve got everything needed to pitch camp.
Denier (D) is a measure of the thickness of the fibers used in the tent fabrics. The 30D material used for both the outer and inner tent offers a good compromise between lightness and toughness, while the ripstop weave prevents small tears from spreading. The 70D groundsheet fibers are thicker still, giving extra abrasion resistance where the tent meets the ground.
