The Exped Orion II UL is a two-person ultralight tunnel tent designed for hikers and backpackers who need reliable shelter without extra bulk. Its streamlined shape and modest weight make it a solid choice for multi-day trips where every gram counts.

Built around a 15D ripstop nylon flysheet and a matching 15D inner tent, the Orion II UL strikes a balance between lightness and durability. The inner tent also features 20D No-See-Um mesh to keep out even the smallest insects while preserving airflow. The 40D ripstop nylon floor and factory-taped seams help seal out ground moisture, and the tunnel design offers 230 cm of living space with a 130 cm peak height. Guy-lines, stakes and a compact carry bag are all included, so you’re ready to pitch straight from your pack.

Denier (D) refers to the thickness of the yarn used in each fabric: 15D is lightweight yet strong enough to resist tears, while 20D mesh provides fine-pore insect protection without adding much weight. Ripstop weaving embeds thicker threads at regular intervals to prevent small snags from turning into larger holes. The PU (polyurethane) coating on flysheet and floor adds water resistance and, together with taped seams, helps keep you dry when conditions turn damp.

De Orion II UL is een lichtgewicht tent die zelfs in het zwaarste weer een robuust en comfortabel onderkomen biedt.
Er is ruimschoots genoeg ruimte voor twee personen in de binnentent. De binnentent is voorzien van twee ingangen, een dubbele deur met No-See-Um muskietengaas en meerdere ventilatie opties.
Harde wind, regen en sneeuw zijn geen probleem voor deze expeditie tent. Zo zorgt de doorlopende nokboog voor extra stabiliteit en sluit de buitentent strak aan op de grond. Zo krijgt de wind geen vat op de tent.
