The Elan RC Ace skis are designed for young skiers taking to groomed slopes and building confidence on piste. Available in lengths from 110 to 120 cm, these skis help children learn basic turning techniques while maintaining comfort and control.
With a turn radius of 7.4 m at 120 cm, the RC Ace offers responsive, manageable turns that suit a child’s developing skills. The 115/70/100 mm sidecut—wider at tip and tail with a narrower waist—makes it easier to initiate and hold carved turns, while still providing enough surface for stability. Fitted with the Elan EL 4.5 GW CA JRS bindings, these skis ensure secure boot retention and a reliable release mechanism tailored to lighter weights, helping young riders stay safe as they hone their technique.
In skiing, the turn radius indicates the size of the arc the ski naturally makes when tilted on edge—a 7.4 m radius encourages shorter, sharper turns ideal for children. Sidecut measurements (tip/waist/tail) describe the ski’s profile: a pronounced hourglass shape lets the ski grip and pivot more easily. The EL 4.5 GW bindings feature a release setting up to 4.5 DIN, meaning they’ll let the boot detach under a controlled force to reduce injury risk in a fall.
