The Elan Playmaker 111 is a freeride ski designed for riders who like to mix playful moves in powder with confident arcs on harder snow. With a 111 mm waist, it’s built to handle varied conditions away from groomed trails without feeling overbuilt.

Its 19 m turning radius and 142-111-132 mm sidecut give it the agility to initiate medium-sized turns and enough surface area underfoot to float through softer snow. The flat mounting plate leaves binding choice up to you, so you can customize your setup or swap in touring bindings down the line. At 1 790 g per ski, it falls into the all-round freeride weight category, offering a balance of stability and maneuverability.

The term “turning radius” refers to the imaginary circle the ski would carve if you held it on edge; a 19 m radius strikes a compromise between quick direction changes and high-speed stability. The three measurements—tip, waist and tail—describe how the ski’s width varies along its length: wider tips and tails help with floatation in soft snow, while the narrower waist eases edge-to-edge transitions.
