The Elan Maxx (70-120) is a children’s piste ski equipped with integrated junior bindings, designed to help young skiers build confidence on groomed slopes.
At 90 cm length, the Maxx features a tight 4.8 m turning radius and a sidecut of 101/69/90 mm, making it responsive for quick turns while still offering stability. The included Elan EL 4.5 GW CA JRS bindings are tailored for junior ski boots with GripWalk compatibility, ensuring a secure connection and easier walking between lifts.
The 4.8 m radius describes the circular arc the ski naturally follows when carving, so a smaller number means the ski initiates turns more readily. Sidecut measurements (tip/waist/tail in millimetres) control how sharply the ski will turn and how well it holds an edge—wider tips and tails combined with a narrower waist give that balance of grip and manoeuvrability. The EL 4.5 GW CA JRS binding fits boots with GripWalk soles, which feature a ridged rubber profile for better traction when walking off skis.
