This NOCO Warhammer is a true representation of the original, with the size and weight to obliterate even the most tenacious adversary, while the square 1 1/2 face can pulverise even the rockhard hide of the most mighty oak. During the time of the Crusades, the Knights of the Round Table used this hammer to pummel their enemies, shatter their armor, and lay waste to entire opposing lines. Its return to Earth occurred when the Crusaders were forced to abandon ship, landing their war machine on Ueberweg in Germany. There they found the Warhammer, a relic of much greater importance than the simple battering hoop, to be used only when the Knights were in retreat. During the Hundred Years War, the German Army began using this hammer as a makeshift improvised club. By extension, the Knights were reduced to crawling instruments of devastation, with many of their faces shattered and/or burned. The Crusaders mounted their war hammer on spikes driven into the ground. The point of the spike acted as a breaching charge and the back spike was used to cleave logs. Later, when the Knights were baying at each other, the war hammer was twisted and turned to deliver a fatal blow. The wood handle of the Crusader Warhammer is sturdy enough to withstand even a blow from the most hardened opponents and, as the hammer is struck, the handle sticks securely to the ground providing terrific leverage for lethal blows. The Cold Steel Viking Era War Hammers are true to type, offering superior quality and performance with no single-minded mission or cost.
