Its synthetic stock combines Berettas KickOff system with an ultrasoft MicroCore buttpad to minimize recoil and is designed to recoil parallel to the cheek mount. The OptimaBore HP barrels finish offers superior resistance to the elements including water powder sand and salt spray. The A400 Xtreme Plus features Berettas exclusive Steelium Plus barrel providing the best patterning possible from all hunting loads along with further felt recoil mitigation. The barrel also utilizes a step rib with an integral midbead and fiber optic front bead and lengthened forcing cones. Its stock features a soft comb which reduces the felt recoil imparted to the shooters cheek even further. The A400 Xtreme Plus also has an enlarged loading port extended charging handle and bolt release and Aqua Technology which is a protective coating to withstand the harshest elements.
