Petzl Fil Telemark Toe Bails

The telemark toe wire provides greater stability in the ice. The sharp point at the end of the wire helps maintain toe traction against the rockface and the undercut of the toe nail ensures the crampon remains securely fastened to the rock. The four points of contact at the end of the wire help prevent the toe from shifting. The elimination of the toe nix makes this crampon particularly effective on ice. The telemark toe wire is fitted on the outer edge of each boot, on the instep and on the metatarsus (the toes). The elimination of the toes makes it possible to put the crampon on without removing your boot.
