Backcountry touring
The K2 Wayback 89 W is a women’s alpine touring ski built for riders heading beyond groomed runs. With a lightweight construction at 1150 g per ski, it helps keep climbs efficient and pack weight low for longer outings.
Balanced design
The 121/89/107 mm dimensions at tip, waist and tail give the Wayback 89 W enough float in softer snow while still holding an edge on firmer surfaces. A 15.8 m turn radius at 160 cm delivers predictable, smooth arcs, and its Rocker–Camber–Rocker profile eases turn initiation without sacrificing spring and control.
Profile explained
Rocker–Camber–Rocker means the ski’s tips and tails gently lift (rocker) for better flotation and maneuverability, while a traditional camber underfoot provides springiness and precise edge contact. This mix helps you transition from the climb to the descent with consistent performance.
