The Venus II Extreme from Exped is a two-person dome tent built for lightweight yet rugged outdoor adventures. It sits in the heavy-duty category of ultralight tents, offering a balance between durability and packability for backcountry trips where every gram counts.

Its flysheet is made from silicone-coated 40D ripstop nylon, tough enough to handle abrasion and tears, while the inner tent combines 30D ripstop nylon with a fine 20D No-See-Um mesh to keep insects out without adding bulk. The 70D taffeta-nylon floor stands up well to rough ground. At 3.2 kg total weight (2.8 kg trail weight), it stays light in your pack without feeling flimsy, and you get all the essentials—guy lines, stakes and a compact carry bag—in one kit.

De Venus II Extreme is geschikt voor 4-seizoenen. Door de stabiele constructie zijn wind, regen en sneeuw geen probleem.
Het klassieke ontwerp van Exped resulteert in een ruime tent met twee ingangen. Zo hebben allebei de gebruikers een eigen deur en ruimte voor bagage. Allebei de ingangen zijn voorzien van een voortent voor nog meer ruimte.
Ventilatieopeningen aan weerszijden en de bovenzijde van de tent zorgen dat condensatie aanzienlijk wordt vermindert.
