The Exped Bivybag Duo UL is a minimalist shelter designed to keep two people covered when you’re camping or trekking. It’s meant to slip over your sleeping bags and offer a lightweight barrier against wind and rain without taking up much room in your pack.

With an interior size of 200 x 140 x 140 cm, this bivy bag gives just enough space for two sleepers while staying compact when rolled up. Weighing in at only 0.26 kg, it won’t weigh you down on long approaches or fast-and-light adventures. The thin ripstop nylon shell resists tears and, thanks to taped seams, creates a continuous shield against moisture.

The fabric is a 15 denier ripstop nylon coated with silicone on the outside and polyurethane on the inside. That combination keeps the shelter light but still able to shed water up to a 2 500 mm column, which handles light to moderate rain. Being Oeko-Tex® 100 certified and PFAS free means it’s been tested for harmful substances and avoids certain persistent chemicals often added for water repellency.
